Training Day (1)

Sorry, no Denzel Washington in this Training Day! Today was the first day of all out, on site, Expert Infantryman's Badge training for the upcoming test. The units were organized into medium sized groups and sent out to the different stations for training and testing. We will train almost every able bodied infantry Soldier in our brigade on this site in 5 days on every individual infantry task to ensure that they can perform their basic duties in a combat environment.

After they are trained in the holding area, they move through the "Test Area" and are examined on the task under the conditions and standards that they will face on the actual test day. They are assessed as "GO's" or NO-GO's" based on their performance and told what they did wrong and how to correct it.

On the actual test day they will only be told what they did wrong, and will have to retest 20 minutes to 1 hour later. 2 "NO-GO's" at one station will eliminate them from the EIB testing.

High stress!

Bottom Line: 53 Soldiers tested, many twice. On my feet all day!
